AVCS or Angular Velocity Control System is equivalent to 'heading hold', except it utilises a gyro sensor that's more accurate much less prone to vibration than mainstream gyros. It continually delivers control signals toward servo, even when the axis isn't going, for extremely low temperature drift and much more positive control for hovering and flying in crosswinds. With this gyro, you'll switch AVCS on or off whenever assigned to an auxillary switch.
