-It is most beneficial in order to avoid long leads and Y-harnesses particularly with
standard grade cables. If problems are experienced, consider using
heavy responsibility cable particularly Futaba's high quality Series or Hobbico's
Pro Series,minimizing lead lengths, and/or the removal of Y-harnesses.
-Current Drain: This digital servo is particularly made for high-
torque or high-speed, consequently high current drain is normal
at startup. For ultimate performance when using this servo please
review these points.
1. Radio systems utilizing the Battery Fail Safe function have a
higher cut-off voltage environment that may cause shorter
operation time.
2. Whenever installing the servo, please always check pushrod linkage to
make sure there is absolutely no binding so that you can prevent excessive
power usage and reduce steadily the life associated with the motor and
battery.
A note on coreless motors. A conventional servo motor has a steel
core armature wrapped with cable that spins within the magnets. In
a coreless design, the armature uses a thin cable mesh that forms a
cup that spins across the outside the magnet eliminating the
heavy metal core. This design leads to smoother operation and
faster response time.
This servo is rated as high-torque for helicopter gyro applications,
the score would not be considered high-torque for airplane control
surface or monster vehicle steering applications.
