The ZTZ-96 (sometimes also referred to as Type 88C ) may be the last development variation of Chinese second generation primary battle tank, It offers an indigenous smoothbore 125 mm weapon. By introducing the autoloader to reduce the crew to three guys, more rounds are for sale to the larger price of fire. Auxiliary weapons include one 7.62 mm coaxial device gun, with a fire rate of 250 rounds/min. A 12.7-mm/50-calibre anti-aircraft device gun is attached to the command cupola. The ZTZ-96 has a combat weight of 41 ton. It's running on a fluid cooled 730 hp diesel engine, and gives the tank a maximum road rate of 57 km/h .
