  The EQ2050 Mengshi (also referred to as Dongfeng Armour ) is the 1.5 tonne capability, four-wheel drive troop/cargo carrier vehicle developed and built by Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFM). The vehicle ended up being based on the General Motors High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled car (HMMWV) with a few minor adjustments. According to Chinese news reports, the armed forces variation EQ2050 with 100% Chinese-made parts passed the design finalisation trial by the PLA in December 2006.
