Hobby Boss 85506 - 1/35 Russian KrAZ-255B   [HB-85506]

The KrAZ-255B joined in production in 1965, with complete series production commencing in 1967. The KrAZ-255B was the direct replacement of this earlier serially produced KrAZ-214 vehicle. The KrAZ-255B (B1) was a later model that showcased a revised braking system.The KrAZ-255B had some visual similarities aided by the earlier in the day KrAZ-214 but had a far more powerful engine, a V-8 four-stroke diesel developing 240 hp to replace the six-cylinder two-stroke 205 hp device regarding the KrAZ-214. Other design improvements included a hydraulic steering booster changing the pneumatic booster of KrAZ-214, additionally the standard 14.00-20 tyres of the KrAZ-214 had been changed by new wide area stress adjustable tires with a centralised tire inflation system managed by the motorist directly from cab. In 1976 the KrAZ-255B was designed with a new dual-circuit braking system that replaced a youthful single circuit system, and such vehicles got the revised KrAZ-255B (B1) model designation.
