  P-40M, version generally similar to the P-40K, with a stretched fuselage like P-40L and powered by an Allison V-1710-81 engine providing better performance at altitude (compared to past Allison versions). It had some information improvements also it ended up being characterized by two little air scoops prior to the exhaust pipes. A lot of them were supplied to Allied countries (mainly UK and USSR), although some others remained in america for higher level training.
