The MI-8 HIP is a multi-role transportation helicopter capable of carring troops or materials plus conducting armed attackers with rockets and guns. It's regularly resupply guerrillas, insert detachments or offer close air support to attacking units. Designed as a transport helicopter, the Mi-8 proved a multi-purpose device. The cable outside suspension system, built with the weight-measuring device, makes it possible to carry large size cargoes weighing around three tons. If needed, it became both combat, rescue and artillery observation helicopter.
