The Westland Lynx is a helicopter created by Westland, very first flying on 21 March 1971. Originally meant as a software application art for both civil and naval use, army interest resulted in the growth of both battlefield and naval variations, which went into operational usage in 1977 ?Initial production version for the British Army Air Corps, and were later on adopted by the military of over several countries. The helicopter is now produced and marketed by AgustaWestland.
