AC-119K Gunship
The Fairchild AC-119K Stinger, updated form of the last AC-119G Shadow, has been used as gunships throughout the Vietnam War. The AC-119 replaced the obsolete Douglas AC-47 and it was useful for close support missions and unpleasant recognition duties. The AC-119K might be effortlessly recognized as a result of its two additional General Electrical J85 turbojet engines in less than wing pods. This allowed the access of a heavier armament, composed of two M61 Vulcan 20 mm cannons besides towards AC-119G's four “miniguns”, together with possibility to own more contemporary and updated navigation and electronic countermeasures systems aboard.
