The EAGLE's excellent capabilities would be the item of a combination of features: effective engines, manoeuvrability, avionics, armament,... The initial F-15C flew on February 27, 1979. It joined service with the United States Air Force in September of the identical 12 months at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan.
