Alongside the smaller Mig-29 the Sukhoy SU-27 is considered the most contemporary Soviet aircraft of Nineties. Because features - speed, maneuvrability, electronic gear and armament - this plane is on, similar degree as Western airpianes. From original Flanker-B variation (that has been introduced in 1989) further variations had been developed including the provider variant, that is used for the new air-craft providers for the Tbiisi class. This variation comes with canard wings, re-enforced landing gear and arresting hooks.
