Most likely the most widely known of German armoured vehicles had been the PUMA. This eight-wheel wehicle, well ahead of its time, had much influence on British, French, Russian, Dutch as well as other armoured cars. The German war machinery was nevertheless not in a position to create enough of these vehicles to substantially help the war work.
