This robust helicopter was initially intoduced through the mid-fifties that can function as known rotor-blade aircraft world-wide. Reliability is its best feature. It had been created for the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. Tens and thousands of UH-ls come in service as transportation, ambulance and attack aircraft. Licensed production in Italy, Germany and Japan make it part of the armed and police forces greater than fifty nations. Currently twin-engine variations (Italeri kit no. 847) are now being produced. This helicopter may serve for the next twenty years or maybe more.
