In the belated sixties this little helicopter became operative with the U.S. Army throughout the Vietnam war. Initially this aircraft had been considered inadequate for difficult operating conditions. The OH-6 was renamed Loach and became a much appreciated reconnaissance helicopter because of its mobility and dependability.
