This tiny, manageable trainer, employed by pilots to make the switch from propeller aircraft to jets, had been designed for the Italian air force inside belated 50s/early 60s. Simple and easy tough, exceedingly manageable and easy to fly, it quickly became among the Italian aeronautical industry’s “best sellers”, enjoying considerable export success. Several versions associated with the MB 326 saw service with the Australian and South African air forces. Here, like in Italy, it offers only recently been changed by more contemporary aircraft.
