SPITFIRE Mk .IX Complimentary French,D-DAY SERIES - NORMANDY 1944/2014
Following the overwhelming German intrusion and the Dunkirk evacuation of Uk and French survived forces in the 1st days of June 1940, most of the territory of France was occupied by Axis troops. The French General Charles de Gaulle, through microphones regarding the BBC from London, stimulating national pride, exhorted the French people never to be demoralized also to continue steadily to resist the career of France. Some French soldiers continued to fight, doing many functions of heroism, up to the battle of Paris in 1944, following the Invasion of Normandy, and also the following liberation of France. A few pilots, joined into Squadrons, equipped with Royal Air Force planes, continued to fly also to fight from British bases. A lot of them travelled on very effective and reliable Spitfire Mx IX gained several atmosphere combat victories.
