F-7F 3N TIGERCAT

The F7F Tigercat originated by Grumman become shipped on Midway aircraft carriers. However, studies showed that the proportions of the twin-engined aircraft produced severe operative dilemmas, and soon a determination was taken fully to destine the Tigercats, originally brought to the Marines, to secure bases. The initial devices were in line over the past months of WWII, but had been never ever aligned in an operative area. The F7F first saw solution inside Korean War, where in fact the two-seat version F7F-3N, equipped with a radar, obtained great results in evening fights. A total of 364 units of F7F were built.
