FIAT G.91 P.A.N. preserie
The Fiat G -91 had been a fascinating project, designed in the '50s by the Italian rn engineer Giuseppe Gabrielli , to build up a light fighter bomber able to perform rn ground close support and reconnaissance duties. The project was specially rn appreciate by several NATO Countries seeking a light, tiny, cheap, but rn dependable and maneuverable strike fighter. Further more some pre-production converted rn devices were utilized by Italian aerobatic group, the Frecce Tricolori, and knew rn as G-91 PAN. The G-91, loaded with smoke generators replaced, in 1963, the rn rather old F-86 Sabre, and equipped the journey line of aerobatic team for nearly rn two decades. Utilizing the characteristic “Frecce Tricolori” blue livery, rn the G-91 PAN was the protagonist of the very important airshows and activities in rn the ‘60s and ‘70s. Just after twenty years of success, into the very early rn ‘80s, the G- 91 had been replaced by this new Aermacchi MB-339
