The Boeing CH-47 Chinook the most famous heavy-lift helicopters in Military Aviation History. Characteristic for the two engine tandem rotor setup, one over the cabin and one within the tail area. It had been particularly developed to meet up the U.S. Army's transport requirements and to change the obsolete H-21. The CH-47 Chinook was stated in a few versions and has now been adopted by countless Countries all over the World. The British Royal Air Force gets the largest Chinook fleet outside U.S.A. The Chinook was used in a number of running situations as Falklands, Balkans, Iraq and Afghanistan, since its first version, the HC.1, that was based on the CH-47C.
