The Hawk T Mk 1 was developed by Hawker Siddeley, today section of BAE Systems, to equip the Royal Air Force training devices within the second half for the 1970’s. The Royal Air Force certain requirement would be to have a fresh updated jet trainer to displace the old Folland Gnat. The advanced-trainer Hawk had been characterized by outstanding maneuverability and because of its Rolls-Royce Adour turbofan engine surely could reach the max rate of Mach 0.84. The Hawk T1A, developed on the original Hawk T1 project, meant to replace the Hawker Hunter inside Royal Air Force’s Tactical Weapons devices. In reality, the first aircraft happens to be modified because of the adoption of a centerline Aden 30 mm. weapon pod along with the possibility to hold AIM-9L Sidewinder air-to-air missiles. Because of its good performance and its own operating expense the Hawk has been used by several air forces all around the globe. The modified Hawk T1A is still employed by the Royal Air Force "Red Arrows" aerobatic group.
