Throughout the 1930s Henschel had been tasked to style and build a ground attack aircraft that may offer help to ground troops. This generated the creation for the robust Henschel Hs-123 biplane, that was provided to traveling Squadrons in 1935. Initial operational implementation associated with aircraft occurred during the Spanish Civil War towards Condor Legion squadrons. Due to its 880 hp BMW radial motor the Hs-123 could reach a high speed of 340 km/h and may carry a sizable offensive payload.
