The 100 years War had been a lengthy conflict which, at various phases, included the Kingdom of England and Kingdom of France. It started, for genetic reasons, in 1337 and had been battled on French territory. It marked a decisive turning point in army strategy and strategies. During the century War the Heavy French cavalry was the queen associated with the battlefield. However, since the early stages of this war, the French military were beaten by the English Troops, well trained in making use of longbows and infantry, within the battle of Crecy, Poitiers and, in 1415, Azincourt. But from 1429, thanks to the leadership of Joan of Arc during the siege of Orleans, the French troops found yet again ethical and determination. The 100 years War finished in 1453 with the almost complete control for the nation by the Kingdom of France.
