This landing craft ended up being used extensively by United States and British navies during the 2nd World War to move wheeled cars, lightweight armour and materials (weighing around 30 tons) from ship to coast. Over 8000 LCM model 3 landing art were produced, being built in numerous shipyards in the USA from 1942 around the finish of the conflict. It would later be used by western allies associated with united states of america until the 1980s.
