Throughout the German occupation of European countries in WW2 a key part had been played by neighborhood ‘partisan’ groups. The partisans often had various ideals and political motivations but had been united by the same objective to assist because of the work to secure success against the German occupying forces. The type of operations carried out by partisan groups were wide-ranging, including both cleverness gathering and help activities to Allied forces, particularly in regards to acts of sabotage against the enemy's logistics and communications infrastructures.
