Towards Akai Yamaha YZR500

　

Legendary British bike racer, Barry Sheene, raced in 1980 World Grand Prix on a Yamaha YZR500 sponsored by Akai. The bicycle?s stylish color scheme of red lines on a black base caught the eye of several fans at that time, and has remained a popular through the years. Following the finish associated with WGP season, Sheene surprised Japanese bike fans together with his performance during the TBC Big Road Race.
