• Riding on back of the two time 250cc and two time 350cc World Champion Kork Ballington&39;s riding abilities, Kawasaki debuted in the 500cc Road Race Championship in 1980. He raced on a KR500 works device which had an aluminum monocoque framework. It had a 498cc water-cooled square-four motor, and a completely independent back product suspension system.
