• In 1999, after using the Constructors&39; Championship, Ferrari set their sights on bringing out a machine that could earn the Constructors&39; and Drivers&39; Championships for 2000. The result was the brand new F1-2000 which inherited many of the faculties of 1999 car, such since the high nose, part diffusers and exhaust slot. Ferrari also brought out a brand new V-10 engine called the 3000 Ferrari (Type 049). Throughout the 2000 period, Michael Schumacher took 9 victories including the opening three events and received the very first Drivers Championship for a Ferrari motorist since Jody Sheckter&39;s in 1979. In addition, Rubens Barrichello&39;s success in German GP helped the team secure the 2000 Constructors Championship too.
