Towards Mercedes-Benz SLR722
In a jv with McLaren Automotive, Mercedes designed the SLR or "Sport, Leicht, Rennsport" (sport, light, rushing). The first SLR series was released inside 1950s and were on the basis of the W196 F1 vehicle. To bring back the series, Mercedes release a fresh, sleek SLR in 2003. The SLR722 was introduced, in 2006, and called after the 7:22am begin time of drivers Moss/Jenkinson car at 1955 Italian Mille Miglia stamina battle. Powered by a 5.4L SOHC V8 supercharged engine, the 722 is with the capacity of 640hp output and that can go from 0 to 100 in 3.6 moments. Due to the power and beauty, the SLR722 is compared to supercars such whilst the Enzo Ferrari and Porsche Carrera GT.
