Into the late 1970s, Porsche had been dominant in GT and sports race. For the 1978 race season, Porsche designed the 935/79 Turbo with all the objective of claiming the Le Mans a day title. The newest longer, ground-hugging human body for the car dropped the ride-height 75mm and forced the limitations on silhouette legislation. Because of 935/78&39;s unique, human body design, the automobile received the nickname "Moby Dick". The automobile showcased a 3.2 liter, air-cooled twin-turbo motor with four valves per cylinder and Porsches&39;s first liquid-cooled cylinder heads, which produced 850hp.
