Defending the Homeland
From the middle phases of WWII, Allied tank designs revealed constant enhancement and showcased greater firepower and armor protection. Under these situations, the German army increasingly depended on turretless tank destroyers armed with a robust weapon on a limited-traverse mount. Among these had been the Hetzer, a tight tank destroyer in line with the Czech-made 38t tank framework which had 60mm sloped frontal armor and a 75mm primary gun. Entering solution from July 1944, the Hetzer&39;s low sihouette and effective armament managed to make it a good adversary on both the Eastern and Western fronts. About 2,800 Hetzers of different variations were produced, plus they also served with all the Czech and Swiss military after the end of WWII.
