About the Uniforms The German military in WWII is known for using a wide variety of higher level and imaginative camouflage uniforms. One example may be the reversible camouflage smock which featured a springtime pattern on a single side, and fall pattern regarding the other. The M44 fatigues issued from spring 1944 highlighted pea pattern camouflage of green, grey, brown and black spots on a basic back ground. German troops such as Panzer grenadiers used this uniform, and a variety of camouflage smocks, in latter area of the war. Armored crews at first wore black colored fatigues, but started utilizing camouflage uniforms through the middle associated with the war. While some units favored black colored leather-based jackets, the hooded combat coat granted in 1942 was used commonly before closing days of WWII.
