German Panzerkampfwagen II Ausf.A/B/C (Sd.Kfz.121) (French Campaign)
Palm-Top Blitzer
The Panzer II Ausf.A/B/C variations were the mainstay tanks associated with the German Panzer Divisions through the Blitzkreig operations of early-WWII. These were compact (4.8m long, 2.2m wide) tanks loaded with a 140hp gasoline motor, which enabled a maximum rate of 40km/h. Although these people were lightly armed with only a 2cm primary gun and a 7.92mm device gun as well as their front armor ended up being a mere 15mm dense, they supplied valiant solution through the Polish and French campaigns if the German Army had a shortage of the more capable Panzer III tanks. In particular, numerous Panzer IIs which saw combat in France had been modified with extra frontal armor plating.
