Concerning the U.S. M21 Mortar Carrier
In early-1943, the White Motor Company began growth of a new prototype rn mortar carrier called the T19, that was based on the M3 halftrack personnel rn carrier. It was later on accepted into U.S. Army service aided by the designation M21. rn the car had been running on a 127hp inline 6-cylinder gasoline motor which gave rn it a maximum on-road speed of 72km/h. It had been built with the 81mm M1 mortar rn in addition to 12.7mm Browning M2 device weapon and an M1 or M9 anti-tank rocket launcher. rn During WWII, M21s supplied close infantry support and proceeded operating until rn changed by the M125 mortar provider. The Tamiya 1/35 scale model is a faithful rn replica model kit that was originally introduced in 1976.
