  Japan kind 1 75mm self-propelled gun was the first self-propelled gun produced by the Imperial Japanese Army during WWII. It utilized the chassis of successful Type 97 medium tank because of the turret replaced by a Type 90 75mm field weapon in an open superstructure. Although the model had been finished in-may 1941, manufacturing would not begin before second half of 1943 as concern was handed to aircraft manufacturing throughout the war. The self-propelled weapons were implemented to Mobile Artillery Regiments and first saw action during the Battle of Luzon in Philippines in 1944. The Tamiya model faithfully catches all information in 1/35 scale.
