The Ford GPA had been an original car that was implemented not only on the U.S. side by the Army and Marine Corps, but also later on by Russian forces. It had been usually called a "seep" (an abbreviation of "seagoing jeep") on account of its amphibious nature. The front-engine 4WD car provided much of its design and components (like the motor) with Ford&39;s GPW. Around 12,800 units were generated by 1943.
