The XB Sport models use a unique form of the TT-01 Type-E framework
The 5th generation Golf GTI was released in 2003 and continued the long tradition of Volkswagen "hot hatchbacks." It had been running on a turbocharged 2 liter inline 4 cylinder engine with 200hp output and had been available with either a 6_speed manual or a fast shifting 6-speed DSG gearbox.
