Russian Heavy Tank KV-1 Full-Option Kit
The Russian Monster
Tamiya is proud to produce the 1/16 scale R/C assembly kit for the Russian heavy tank KV-1 which terrified German forces during WWII. The dynamic type of the KV-1&39;s angular, welded turret was accurately reproduced, and accessories like the tow cables and device bins highlight its superb external details. Many steel parts have also been offered with the chassis to ensure high durability. As well as forward/reverse operating and left/right turning, the tank also features practical barrel and hull recoil actions when firing the main gun. Leading device weapon also features muzzle flash impact and firing noises, while both headlight and taillight are controllable too. The set conveniently includes a 4-channel transmitter, 7.2V battery pack, and a battery charger (Japan market only). Include the separately available Battle System and you can even have mock battles with other likewise equipped Tamiya R/C tanks.
Realistic Mobility
Rear-mounted pre-assembled gearbox features Type 380 motors for a great amount of power. Steel parts such as the reduced hull, suspension system arms, and drive sprockets guarantee durability. The suspension system is just like that on a real KV-1 and features steel torsion bars and pre-assembled resin tracks to absorb landscapes undulations. Also, the DMD Control product T-08 features a unique low-speed environment which enables slow lumbering motions even for greater realism.
Main Gun Firing
During main gun shooting, the barrel-mounted Light-emitting Diode flashes, firing sound roars through the onboard presenter, and turret recoil unit and drivetrain gearbox work in combination to create practical barrel and hull recoil movement.
- The weapon barrel offers 24 degrees elevation and 4 levels despair. Push control stick 2 forward/rearwards to move the gun.
- The turret features full 360 degrees rotation. Drive control stick 1 towards the left/right for rotation. Rotating speed is accompanied with the stick movement.
- Features metal torsion pubs and pre-assembled resin songs to recreate practical lumbering motion of the tank.
- During shooting, the barrel-mounted Light-emitting Diode flashes, firing sound roars through the onboard speaker. Practical barrel and hull recoil movement may reproduced.
- Leading machine weapon also features muzzle flash effect and shooting sounds.
- Switching on/off the headlight is controllable via transmitter input.
About the KV-1
The KV-1 had been an unpleasant surprise for the fearless German Army which was advancing into Russia in summer of 1941. The German Panzer III and IV tanks were ineffective contrary to the 75mm thick armor regarding the KV-1. German soldiers called the KV-1 tank &8220;Monster&8221; as a mark of respect after experiencing it in 1941. The KV-1 fought desperately among the Russian&8217;s primary heavy tanks with the T-34 before mid-WWII. Over 4,000 KV-1 were produced from 1939 until 1943, and also this 1940 variation ended up being armed with a 39 caliber F-32 76.2mm primary weapon.
