Launching the JGSDF Light Armored car as a top performance off road R/C automobile. With the capacity of accommodating 4 workers, the JGSDF Light Armored Vehicle is fitted with a 160hp liquidcooled 4-cycle 4-cylinder diesel motor, and can reach top rates of 100km/h. Weighing simply 4.5 tons, it is able to be carried by a CH-47J helicopter or C-130H transportation aircraft for crisis air-drops. In 2004, Light Armored Vehicles were deployed in Iraq to take part in the Japan Ground self defense purposes Force's humanitarian assistance objective.
A shaft-driven 4WD high flexibility framework
This model comes with 4-wheel separate double wishbone suspension system with oil dampers and block tires that enable this model to run on any sort of landscapes. Because of the HMV Hayate and Type 73 Small Utility Vehicle installed with little armor and having poor protection abilities, in 1997 japan Ground self defense purposes Force (JGSDF) began development on a new high-mobility light armored transportation car. With the capacity of accommodating 4 personnel, the JGSDF Light Armored Vehicle is fitted with a 160hp liquidcooled 4-cycle 4-cylinder diesel motor, allowing it to reach top speeds of 100km/h. Weighing just 4.5 tons, it is able to be carried by a CH-47J helicopter or C-130H transportation aircraft for crisis air-drops. The weapon mount on the top can be fitted with a 5.56mm device gun or Light Anti-Tank Guided Missile. Automobiles deployed to Iraq were fitted with reinforced bulletproof windshields.
