The appearance of the A-10 is remarkable while its performance is amazing. Known affectionately since the "Wart Hog" by its pilots, it&39;s a sizable single chair aircraft, identified by a couple of TF-34-100A high bypass fan jet machines mounted high nearby the backside of this double tailed fuselage. A number of the specs are: Length 53&39; 4"; height 14&39;8", span 57&39;6"; maximum gross fat 47,400lbs, including 16,000lbs of outside stores. Internal armament could be the GAU-8/A 30mm Gatling cannon with the capacity of 2100 or 4200 rounds per minute. The A-10 has been around since 1972, and contains again proven its worth through the current Gulf war.
