Directly following the demonstration regarding the experimental Geraet 400 for Hitler on 24 October, on 21 November 1939 the Luftwaffe ordered 100 to be attached to 8-ton Zugkraftwagen framework. Originally, the two cm Flak 38-Vierling had been guaranteed with a central pivot mounting; later, base aids and rachets were always secure the normal ground mount. Starting in 1942, an armor radiator shield and team cab were intriduced as security against shell fragments and little hands fire. Initial variety of 100 were finished from April 1940 through mid-1941. Continuing at the lowest rate of 10 per month in early 1942, production accelerated in August 1942 to meet up the incrersed theart of Allied air power. Completely about 750 to 800 had been generated by the finish of December 1944.
