The Pz.kpfw VI Tiger II Ausf. B "KingTiger" VK4503(H) had been the most powerful combat tank of World War II. As much as the finish associated with the war, the Allies did not introduce anything that could effectively countermand it. The Tiger II combined a powerful and effective weapon with armor that was practically impervious to any Allied tank or anti-tank gun. Planning the Tiger II started as early as might 1941, annually ahead of the Tiger we entered production. By late 1942/January 1943, designers began work on a brand new heavy tank that will in the course of time replace the Tiger we. In January 1943, Hitler ordered the new Tiger become armed with an extended 88mm weapon and now have 150mm frontal armor and 80mm part armor.
