agdtiger development were only available in February of 1943 and on October twentieth of 1943, wooden mock-up had been presented to Adolf Hitler. Jagdtiger part was to support infantry and combat armored cars at long ranges. Two prototypes, one with Porsche suspension (made up of 8 roadwheels) plus one with Henschel suspension system (composed of 9 roadwheels) had been completed in February of 1944. Its first designation ended up being Jagdpanzer VI, but afterwards it was named Jagdtiger and received quantity Sd.Kfz.186. Production ended up being in the offing to start in December of 1943 but were only available in July of 1944 but Pz.Kpfw V Panther manufacturing received priority and Jagdtiger production was sluggish.
