The ECS BB (Ball-Bearing) driveshafts offer an important performance gain on the standard blade-type driveshafts. The friction between the driveshaft together with outdrive is greatly reduced, which helps you to offer a much smoother managing feel, particularly on fast direction changes, such as for instance chicanes. The paid down friction helps to increase cornering speeds. We recommend the shorter 52mm shafts for smaller, more technical tracks, where more initial steering becomes necessary. Maintenance of the bearing driveshafts is important, but simple. Build them while you would your normal ECS driveshafts, but with the following addition; we suggest using the Hudy Joint Grease (106213) involving the little bearings and also the outdrives, for a prolonged life for the parts.
